Given enough time, conflict will occur. People purposefully or inadvertently hurt one another. Yet, it is important that we approach the resolution of those situations properly.
“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you” (Colossians 3:13).
- We must learn to get along well with one another—be patient and flexible.
- We must forgive, let go of, and forget any issues we have/hold against another believer.
- We must forgive in the SAME WAY that God forgives us!
- Isn’t it awesome that God treats us better than we treat one another! He forgives and forgets offenses when we repent. He is patient with us. He does not gossip about us to others. He loves us unconditionally. In fact, even his discipline is based on love not on revenge.
